ScanMD is an application used to resolve logical discrepancies. It can be used on a desktop to create and delete various objects. Sometimes, when an object is deleted, it might not be reflected in the metadata, leaving it available in the front-end. This mismatch of schema objects can be damaging, as it can prevent the schema from being updated. ScanMD can be difficult to use, as it often displays false errors as discrepancies. The engine team at MicroStrategy, Inc. needs to update the tool.
